Childhood with room to get bored, bodies outside, very little screen noise, real food, books with pages, and a pace that doesn’t treat the parent like an app with twenty tabs open.

Intentional is what you say we do as a family. Gentle is how you act when a kid is crying in the moment. I want both, but you can be one without the other, and the gap shows.

Turn the volume down on purpose. Boredom, a squabble, a slow walk home—those build more grit than another week of scheduled classes.
