our take
“Daniel Tiger's social-emotional curriculum is well-intentioned and the strategy songs address real preschool challenges. It may surprise parents to see it score an F, but our rubric weighs attention quality heavily: the show uses rapid musical transitions, frequent direct-to-camera address, and a jingle-driven format that fragments attention rather than building it. The repetitive structure also limits language richness.”
